Merino Silk Fingering Weight Yarn

This is a lovely soft and versatile heavy fingering weight yarn, with 378 yards/345 metres to 115 grams. This has 80% untreated 19.5 micron merino wool, and 20% tussah silk.  It is milled in Canada and hand dyed in Ontario with natural dyes.  The yarn is next-to-skin soft and is great for knitting, weaving and crochet.  

The dyes are all derived from nature, and come from plants or insects.  Where possible, we source local Ontario materials.  When these are not available, we look to Canadian distributors.

Some colour variations between skeins may occur. We recommend alternating skeins if more than one is used in a project.  Although we try to represent the colours as accurately as possible, the picture on your screen may differ slightly from the actual product. 

Products made from this yarn should be hand washed in cool water with wool wash and laid flat to dry.
